License & terms
The current 0.9.5 installer requires macOS 14+ and supports Apple Silicon Macs only. An Intel installer has not been published.
This page distinguishes the current app’s feature gates from the operator’s published commercial and usage terms. Settings → License displays your build’s plan and entitlements. UI and source code do not replace the applicable purchase contract, legal terms, or statutory rights.
Trial and Free
Section titled “Trial and Free”A 14-day trial starts on first launch with Pro-gated multi-engine ASR, intent, selection rewrite, adaptive polish, in-app file transcription, and custom history. Expiry applies Free limits without relaunching.

Translation and local models have their own system, resource, and setup requirements. Apple native translation requires macOS 26+. The current version has no Shell execution or preinstalled built-in phrase catalog. See Plans for the full matrix.
Activation and device seats
Section titled “Activation and device seats”- Open Settings → License.
- On Free or Trial, paste and activate a
VH1-…key in Activate Pro without waiting for expiry. Activated Pro can use Change key…. - Confirm the Pro badge. Follow any online seat-error guidance.
Pro is a lifetime personal license for up to 3 Macs you own or control, without an account login. Keys are verified locally with Ed25519. First activation, binding another Mac, and transferring a device seat require Internet access and a successful server response. This bound Mac’s Pro receipt has no expiry and keeps working offline during a service outage or retirement. Reconnecting applies confirmed refunds, revocations and device deactivations and removes the affected Pro access. If a reinstall loses the Keychain receipt, online binding is required again.
A cached legacy receipt keeps its original signed deadline until a successful online check replaces it with a receipt that has no expiry. A device without a saved server-signed receipt cannot activate offline using only a key.
On the old Mac, open Settings → License → Deactivate and choose Deactivate and release seat online or Deactivate this Mac; release seat later. Only The server confirmed deactivation. The device seat has been released. confirms a cloud seat release. Failed requests remain pending; a local stop is not reported as a successful unbinding.
Local-only deactivation sends no release request. Pending requests are saved in this Mac’s Keychain and survive restart. Use Move to another Mac → Retry cloud deactivation when online; the app does not automatically release seats at startup. Keep the old app and Keychain records until the request completes. Reactivating the same key first processes its pending release. If the old Mac is unavailable, contact the seller privately through your purchase platform for a manual transfer.
Deactivation does not delete server records. Online activation, verification and unbinding include device identifiers and are not blocked by Local Only mode. Choose the explicit local deactivation option to defer that release request. See Privacy policy.
Terms of use (EULA summary)
Section titled “Terms of use (EULA summary)”These are user-facing terms. Commercial policy and refunds are maintained by the operator and purchase channel; rights and obligations cannot be inferred solely from the app’s license implementation. Installing or using the software signifies agreement to the applicable terms.
- License: limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable use on Macs you own or control under a valid trial or license. Pro is a lifetime personal license for up to 3 Macs.
- Plans: Trial / Free / Pro; feature gates may change between versions. See License for current gates.
- Prohibited use: circumventing licenses or trials, distributing cracked builds or keys, unlawful automation, or violating third-party ASR / LLM terms.
- Automation responsibility: the app can inject hotkeys, open targets, run existing Shortcuts, and perform system actions. You are responsible for actions on your machine; protections cannot cover every risk. The current version has no arbitrary Shell execution.
- Third-party services: cloud ASR / LLM use BYOK. Providers are responsible for their fees, availability, and privacy practices.
- Updates: when enabled, Sparkle can check for updates. You can disable automatic checks or decline updates. Local Only pauses update checks, but not commercial license requests.
- Disclaimer: provided “AS IS,” with liability limited as permitted by law, including data loss or unintended automation. Non-waivable consumer rights remain in force.
- Refunds: you can request a refund within 14 days of payment through your purchase-channel order or support with your order ID. This is a request policy, not a code-verifiable automatic refund guarantee. Never post license keys publicly. See Buy Pro.
- Termination: a material breach can terminate the commercial license; Free limits may still apply afterward.
